Capital District Aquarium Services proudly offers:
- Routine scheduled aquarium maintenance for both freshwater fish tanks and marine fish tanks (residential and commercial) which includes: A water change of usually 20 percent, glass cleaning inside and outside, replacing filter pads or socks, checking the working condition of all aquarium equipment, cleaning of protein skimmer if applicable, water testing of necessary parameters to maintain a healthy aquarium, changing out carbon or other needed medias, checking the health of livestock, and dosing of any needed supplements to maintain a healthy aquarium. Routine fish tank maintenance can be scheduled weekly, biweekly or monthly.
- New fish tank setup: Installation of aquarium, installation of filtration, installation of plumbing if applicable, cycling of the new system and the necessary water testing, and advice on introducing livestock safely to the new system.
- Lighting installation for marine aquariums including PAR mapping for live corals if needed.
- Aquarium upgrades (moving into a different or larger aquarium).
- Aquarium transportation if moving within the Capital District area (30 mile radius of Albany, NY)
- Aquarium takedown: Removal of all water, glass cleaning inside and outside, removal and rehoming of fish or coral if needed. Disposal of old aquariums is not offered.
- Installation of aquarium reverse osmosis water filter systems.
- Reverse Osmosis De-Ionized water can be provided for marine tank services for additional charge.
- Pre-made saltwater can be provided for saltwater aquarium services for additional charge.
- Consult for expert advice is available for those that need assistance with the aquarium they care for (sickness, disease, nutrient control issues, algae issues, coral loss, etc.).
